Nairobi

Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya and serves as the country’s political, economic, and cultural hub. It is located in the south-central part of the country, at an altitude of approximately 1,795 meters (5,889 feet) above sea level. Nairobi is known for its vibrant urban life, diverse population, and significant historical landmarks. The city is also home to Nairobi National Park, the only national park situated within a capital city, which is renowned for its wildlife and conservation efforts. Nairobi plays a critical role in international diplomacy and business, hosting numerous multinational companies and organizations, including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).
